All our UnikScarves are handmade from African batik fabrics.
African Batik Fabrics are made using the traditional "Yoruba" process, which is considered to be environmentally friendly, as it uses less amount of water and chemicals compared to the mass produced batik process. As much as possible, natural biodegradable materials, such as palm kenel, banana and the famous indigofera (Elu) trees leaves, are used to make the natural dyes which create their vibrant, earthy and rich colours.
